Ingredients
1 Onion, finely chopped
1 Clove Garlic, finely chopped
250ml (1 cup) milk
65g margarine
65g cake flour
250ml (1 cup) cream
65g Parmesan cheese, grated
5ml (1 teaspoon) Robertsons Origanum
500g tagliatelle pasta, cooked
1.25ml (1/2 teaspoon) Robertsons Nutmeg
2.5ml (1/2 teaspoon) Robertsons White PepperInstructions
- Melt the margarine in a large pan, add the onion, garlic, nutmeg and sauté for 3 minutes
- Then add the cake flour and stir
- Add the milk and cream and bring to the boil, stirring and allow to simmer until the sauce thickens
- After the sauce has started to thicken add the Parmesan cheese and cook stirring continually for 5 minutes
- Stir in the origanum, season with white pepper and serve hot with the tagliatelle
