Ingredients
800g Beef Strips
40ml Sunflower Oil
1 Beef Stock Cube
250g Button Mushrooms, Sliced
150ml Water
60ml (4 tablespoons) cake flour
1 onion, finely sliced.
10ml (2 teaspoons) Robertson’s Garlic Flakes
30ml (2 tablespoons) lemon juice
30ml (2 tablespoons) tomato paste
5ml (1 teaspoon) Robertson’s Paprika
125ml (½ cup) milk
125ml (½ cup) cream
Robertson’s Atlantic Sea Salt & Pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl mix the beef strips with the cake flour to coat
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the beef strips for 5 minutes then remove and set aside
- In the same pan sauté the onion and garlic flakes until soft
- Add the lemon juice, beef stock cube, tomato paste, mushrooms and paprika, allow to simmer to reduce liquid by half
- Add the water, milk and cream and return the beef strips to the pan
- Allow to simmer for 5 minutes and adjust the seasoning if necessary
